Triggering with Lupron----BTDT Advice??
I was going to trigger with HSG. But, my RE told me that stays in your body for about a week. Lupron has a shorter stay in the body. Any advice? Thoughts?

I prefer triggering w lupron.
I have pcos and its less chance of developing ohss. Hth!

Ah! Good to know. I think that is why the RE is doing it this way. When would developing ohss be a risk? Before retrieval or after? How will I know if I have it?

same here. although i still developed mild OHSS. i cant imagine what it wouldve been like if i triggered with HCG!!

She can go into more detail.. but trust me if you have OHSS, YOU WILL KNOW!! Flowerwife can go into more detail, but she actually gained 9lbs of fluid when she had just a MILD case!!
Most people are fine 
Also, I triggered with lupron for both my ERs and never had any issues.

well i had an enormous amount of bloat that turned into weight gain. i went to see dr. B and he insisted that it was only mild. his test is basically knocking on your belly and if it's hard as a rock its a problem, if he can jiggle it, well then you'll be ok   . he did run bloodwork and said that it was fine. i saw him after I got my BFP and my betas but before my first sono (i was like 4w6d maybe?? he wouldnt even let me see the sono screen cause it was too early). he did do a sono at that appointment too and he saw that my ovaries were huge but he said it was OK. if it gets VERY bad you can have the fluid drained but they try to only do that for extreme cases where its a health risk. for mild cases you just have to live with it, stay hydrated with electrolytes, and it eventually goes away.

I developed it after my first retrieval. You'll know if you have it! They triggered me w hcg that time...never again! I LOVE triggeribg w lupron for that reason. As pp said stay well hydrated. They had me drink lots of water and also had me drink a water/gatorade mix. Hth!

Ok Ladies! I feel better. The RE said triggering with Lupron is better. I am doing it tonight, well DH is, haha!
I will stock up on Gatorade to drink after retrieval on Sat.
