Troop to Troop program ideas

For those Scout troops (or families) who are interested, Give2TheTroops.org has a lot of year round programs to support the troops.

If you look under the Seasonal Sights, Sounds & Sweets Holiday Drive there are some requests for the holidays that are virtually cost free, except for shipping.

I think with my Daisy troop we're going to do the one where you send them a picture with the group holding a Happy Holidays sign and the Handmade Paper Garland.

That is a great idea! I'm always looking for ideas to use with our troop!

Are you a 2nd year Daisy leader? Are you doing a Journey this year? They are so much more involved then the petals were!

We are doing a Journey, It's Your Story. Which one are you doing?

They are a lot more involved than the petals, plus now there are the leaves. We're also doing the Safety award, one of my co-leaders is setting up a Stranger Danger assembly and we have an EMT coming to talk to the girls another day. We don't have any plans to do the My Promise, My Faith ones. Just too many things for one year.

We do feel more confident this year since we have 1 year under our belts. And I really like the new books, the girls are responding well to them.

We are doing the Animals Journey.

My co-leader picked up the books for it. We didn't get the new binder, since we finished all of the petals last year...the ladies at council told her it wasn't necessary for us to buy the binder, just get the animals journey book. I havne't even heard about the leaves! I hope we aren't missing out on anything!
