True blood SPOILERS........
OK., So what is the heck is Maryanne??? and did they really turn lafayette into a vampire?? The jason story line is boring me. I hope it gets more exciting. Also cant believe how mad bill got last night at Sookie. and is it just me or is Sam getting hotter.

IDK what Maryann is, she freaks me out. Sookie had to know :just sitting in the car" would NOT work. I think they did turn Layfaette. I hope so at least. Sam bores me for some reason, and the Jesus wife is a nutjob. Anyone wanna make bet she and Jason get busy...soon!!!

I think the Jesus husband is definitely going to hit on Jason.
Maryann is awesome - does anyone know what language her thoughts are? Or what language Eric and Pam were speaking?
I wonder if Bill is really going to kill the teenager's family!

LOVE this show and I thought last night was much better than last week..!
I do think that Eric and Pam are going to make Lafayette into a vampire (which would be pretty cool actually) and I also think that Bill HAS to kill the teenager's family ... why else would he say to Sookie "I have to clean up this mess you made" or something like that..
Bill is annoying to me this season though.. and I loved him last season 
The Tara story kind of bores me..
And yes the Jason story is  and I agree he's totally going to hook up with the Jesus wife -
And all I have to add is that I think Eric is hottttt   LOVE HIM!

I know what Marianne is in the book, and I think they are making her the same thing, although her charcater is a bit changed. It's a mythical/supernatural creature you probably haven't heard of before.
She doesn't have as much of a role in the books.

Jason is a tool...in the books and the show

I don't think Bill will kill the family. Can't he just "glamour" them so they "forget that they were even there?
I do think he will do something to the dad though. Remember Bill kills off people who have hurt the women in his life. In a sense Jessica has become like a daughter to him and remember back in season 1 when she was happy to "NOT" have to go home because she said "no more beatings"

Honestly I don't think I gave anything major away with my reply, but I guess it was major enough to be commented on. I didn't think it was a big secret or anything and it's only a minor spec of background info thrown into the books, but my apologies to anybody it offended. I didn't read the books and now I know more about the storyline than what the show aired. I know it says spoilers in the title but I would assume that's just spoilers about the show that aired, not the books it's based on.

I couldn't agree more! That really really REALLY stinks. I purposely am NOT reading the books so I can enjoy the show!

The show is turning out to be really different than the books,esp 2nd season, so the few things mentioned upthread (pre-edits) don't really give too much away as far as the show goes & not even really for the books, because the context & mood is different, so while those things mentioned may have happened in the books, a lot of what you know about the storyline from the tv show didn't happened that way in the books, so it will definitely be a different experience if you read the books.
I actually kinda hate the show, love the books. (Still watching. . .glutton for punshment. . .)
For anyone who is interested, there are a few book threads about the Southern Vampire Series on the Storyboard forum.
ETA--I may start a thread over there about the books VS the show for those have both read & watched if there isn't already. (It will get lost over here.)

See I think that they did end up turning Lafayette which i think would be a really good story line.
I agree the whole Fellowship of the sun is really annoying and Jason is definitely going to get with the Jesus wife.
Maryanne is insane. What is she. I can't figure her out.
The ending was awesome. I think Bill is definitely changing into more of a bad boy.
