TruGreen Lawn Care Service

Hi everyone! I am new to this but if anyone can help me out I would greatly appreciate it. I am looking for a Lawn company that can treat my lawn and I called TruGreen. The price and what was explained to me seems pretty reasonable but I have my doubts. I know they used to be ChemLawn. Anyway I would like to know if anyone has had any experience with them.

Welcome. My MIL has had many issues with them. They never come when scheduled, and they on more than one occasion put down chemicals that she requested they do not put down b/c she has dogs.

She called about 10 times last season to try & straighten it out, and it took all summer for them to get it straight. She was giving them one more shot this season, but they have already missed their first seeding appointment that they set, so I am not sure it will work.

Thank you for the info I did do some research and found many complaints like this so I am searching for a new lawn service. I only need someone to treat the lawn because we have a new tractor and other equipment so we maintain it ourselves as far as mowing and that kind of thing. So if anyone can recommend a lawn service that would be great.

I used them for two seasons and had lots of problems. They just show up whenever they please, and often they'd come on the day I had a playdate scheduled (the kids then couldn't go in the backyard) or a barbecue or something.

We reseeded an area of our yard and they put their chemicals right on top of it (they just showed up when I wasn't home so I couldn't tell them not to) and the grass never grew because there was that barrier there.

Lastly, our weeds were never really taken care of by what they put down, and that is the main reason we used them. Finally I decided I had enough and cancelled...only to have them call me multiple times asking me to sign up again because they're made some changes. Too little too late!

Thanks so much for the info. I have someone coming to my home tomorrow to give me an estimate and maybe 1 other guy. The fact that TruGreen hasnt even come to my home to see what it needs also had me concerned so I will not be signing the contract with them.
