Dealbreaker of the century. He and his administration could never ever do good in my book after this.

The Trump administration plans to allow hunters to bring trophies of elephants they killed in Zimbabwe and Zambia back to the United States, reversing a ban put in place by the Obama administration in 2014, a U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service official confirmed for ABC News today.

Even though elephants are listed as endangered under the Endangered Species Act, a provision in the act allows the government to give permits to import such trophies if there is evidence that the hunting benefits conservation for that species. The official said the administration has new information from officials in Zimbabwe and Zambia to support reversing the ban.

Trump is morally reprehensible. The man is devoid of any kind of compassion, integrity, or common sense. He's such a worthless piece of $hit and it's an embarrassment to this country and EVERYTHING we stand for.

The ONLY reason he is doing this is simple, as with everything else this year, it's his mission to undo EVERYTHING Obama ever did. It doesn't matter if it makes sense and it doesn't matter who it will hurt.

I was half listening to a report about this so hopefully I understood correctly. Basically they explained that encouraging legal hunting of exotic game means that it is controlled and some of the money goes towards conservation. So I guess that's a plus but I still don't think anyone should be bringing trophies home and the photos of these poor animals breaks my heart.

Except that in those countries, the governments are pretty corrupt, so the actual likelihood of the money being used towards conservation efforts is slim to none

And aren't elephants on the endangered species list?? If so, they shouldn't be hunted at all.................controlled or not,

Are they on the endangered species list? When I went to those countries, they complained about how the elephants were ruining property and trees, etc.

I do NOT agree with this at all!

Did he have to make a deal with Mugabe and whoever is president of Zambia? Mugabe is awful and the government of Zambia (or should I say Nambia ) is so corrupt.
