NEW YORK (AP) — President Donald Trump, his administration under siege for contacts with Russian officials, is calling for "an immediate investigation" into Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer's own ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Trump tweeted a photo Friday of Schumer meeting with Putin in New York in 2003.
The president called for a probe into Schumer's "ties to Russia and Putin" and called the New York senator "A total hypocrite!"
Schumer responded on Twitter a short time later writing that he would "happily talk" under oath about his meeting with Putin, which took place "in full view of press and public."
He then challenged Trump to do the same.
Trump's tweet comes a day after Attorney General Jeff Sessions came under scrutiny for his two meetings with a Russian ambassador.
Oh, so trump wants an immediate investigation into a Democrat with ties, but not his close personal friends...
I love that Schumer shut him down by saying, "Sure, let's go... If you do the same."

What a joke. Sure, lets investigate them all. I have a feeling it'll only be the Dump campaign people found guilty.

Well since Schumer is the biggest political camera wh*re, it's not surprising there is a photo of him and Putin. If you look hard enough, you can probably find a photo of Schumer with every human on this planet, and half the animal population. That man will never pass up a camera, so I'm sure the entire thing was recorded and ready to view, shouldn't be a tough "investigation".
Trump will continue to reach and cry "well he did it to". For the next 4 years....give or take...

As I said on the other thread re Pelosi, unlike Trump, Schumer puts his tax returns on his website. I think that will help if there are questions of him having financial ties to Russia.

Ok but did Schumer hold a position back then similar to Sessions or Flynn? If not then what's the big deal? It's comparing Apple's and oranges.

Right. And it was a brief public meeting/photo op out in plain view. Schumer never lied about it.
Like with sessions, as they did to Bill Clinton-- even if you take the meetings with the Russians off the table, he LIED UNDER OATH! And he is the AG of the US!! I don't understand how he isn't going to be held accountable for this!
