trunk for the end of the bed
I am not sure exactly what you call this but I am looking for a "trunk" to place at the foot of my bed for pillows, blankets, etc
any recommendations for where I can find something like this?

Definitely do the storage ottoman. It can also double as seating if you ever need extra

I have this. It doesn't "match" the other furniture in my bedroom... it's an accent piece. I have it at the foot of my bed and store sheets and blankets in it. Image Attachment(s):

I would love to have a cedar chest for the foot of our bed, but I have yet to start looking. but I do know that furniture stores and major dept. stores carry such things, or you could go to a wood shop and have one custom made.

I have a storage ottoman from Target that we used to keep at the foot of the bed when we were in our apartment. The arrangement of the room in the house doesn't allow for anything to be there anymore though!

We have two of these from Ikea at the end of our bed. it's called EKTORP BROMMA.
Perfect for storage and sitting.

I just saw a set of 2 in the Country Door magazine. Too bad you're in NC - I'd split it with you if you only needed one.
