trying hard not to post about this but
tonight i am really missing my better half
i know some of you are tired of hearing it but it still hurts. even 5 years later

awww, im sorry. you can always come here to post that. i cant imagine what it must feel like, and i only wish you strength as each year passes. he'll always be watching over you and your daughter.

you have no IDEA how hard of a time I am having right now. IT IS NOT fair . Others can move on and I hurt, still. WHY cant I move on. I hear him, feel him, I WANT HIM. Is it wrong? WHY CANT I MOVE ON??????????????

i wish i had words for you to help you move on. i honestly dont know how. there are others here who have lost their spouses, maybe you can speak to them? or have you already?
i know what you mean though. the thought of losing my SO...i just cant even fathom. i know everyone says you stay strong and move on but i dont know how i would. i wouldnt be able to grasp that it was real.

thanks guys, I am sorry to be such a debbie downer, but tonight I really wish I had the arms of my Keith around me, not his wings. my BIGGEST fear is Kryssy coming out of her room to see me like this. SHE MUST NEVER SEE ME SO WEAK!! NEVER CAN I BE SO WEAK IN FRONT OF HER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NEVER

I'm sorry you are having such a rough night, but I just had to let you know that you are far from weak!! Just because you are sad and missing your husband doesn't make you weak...it makes you human! Even if you are a blubbering mess over there, you are feeling real emotions. If Kryssy were to see you, it would be ok. She would know that when you feel sad, you express it and feel it, but then you go on living your life the way you have for the last 5 years. Your ability to endure the pain of losing your husband and be an amazing mother to her, shows your strength. You are a role model to her and that includes showing her how to cope with grief.

Never feel like you have to hold back posting about something very hard for you...I'm so sorry for what you are going through, and although time may help a bit, it doesn't mean pain completely goes away.
Hang in there...do something good for yourself and try to smile a little whenever you can. You're a great mom and person!!

THANK YOU EVERY ONE!!!
Right after I posted this, one i realized I put 5 tears in all actuality it was 6 years and 2 I found out that jerk was DEAD!!!! I did a 180 and let me tell you having Kryssy in my arms last night feeling her and knowing she felt safe was all I needed to feel better!!!

It will be 5yrs this July that my step-father suddenly passed away while my mom was working a night shift as a nurse. She didn't want to go in, and Tom begged her to stay home. 14hrs later she came home to a dead husband. My mom just now took her wedding ring off, and took his ring off of her neck and had a new ring made with all the diamonds from both in it. She can not begin to imagine dating or moving on. She truely feels that she had 2 loves of her life and she is done. I cannot imagine the pain she or you feel. I know how much it hurts to think about my sister, but to lose my spouse? I would crumble into a million pieces. I honestly think that for some people you just never "move on". Not because you don't want to, and not because you don't think you should, but becausee you just can't. My mom is one of those people, and I have never and will never think less of her. I am always here to help her and to be the support she needs.
You don't owe ANYBODY an explination. As my Step-Dad would always say...."You do you"...well that and "Take care of your mother"
