Trying not to freak out (TMI involved)
Ok let's see if I can make a long story short ...
Last week on Tuesday evening I went to the bathroom, had a somewhat "difficult" bowel movement, and on the toilet paper there was a pinkish tinge mixed with some CM. I FREAKED out, called my doc, decided to go to the ER. The ER gave me a full exam and everything was deemed okay(baby measured right, good heartbeat, cervix fully closed). I saw a bit more of the same stuff the next day (after going to the bathroom again) but hadn't seen anymore of it since.
Now this evening (I'm 10w2d), I went to the bathroom (#2), somewhat difficult again but definitely not overly straining, and when I wiped there was a little bit of red mixed with CM. I am doing my best not to freak out since I'm not convinced this is even vaginal bleeding, but really - WTH is going on here? I did call my doc and spoke to the Dr. on call. She didn't really offer much info - just to take it easy and call in the AM and see if I can be seen tomorrow.
Has anyone else experienced anything like this? I really don't want to stress over this but it's so hard not to. :( Thanks for any support, info, or advice you can offer!

Are you sure it's not from your rectum? There are times if you have a hard BM you will bleed a little.

hemmoroids..thats what it probably is,,it can be a internal one..do not freak. It is very common in pregnancy and makes bleeding. tmi--I had it when I was not prego and had some bleeding. I also think straining iisn't helping u out. I would get some prunes and drink more water and call doc if it continues. The mucus can be like irritable bowel...
fiber and more fiber girl!

Re: Trying not to freak out (TMI involved)
Strain can cause the cervix to bleed. Honestly I wouldnt worry at all. If the Dr was worried they would tell you as well.
TAKE stool Softners!!

Re: Trying not to freak out (TMI involved)
im sorry--I misunderstood and thought it was rectal.. I was going to pull it but u saw it anyway. I would still not stress--the doc checked and things were ok.
I still think the straining didn't help and it will be ok.

Re: Trying not to freak out (TMI involved)
Trust me- I had this happen a couple of times and its definately from your butt, not the baby. Once you wipe, stuff from both areas mix together. Sorry if TMI...

Re: Trying not to freak out (TMI involved)
this same thing happens occasionally to me and happened last night too! in fact i searched the boards to see if anyone had posted on this before! i ifigure since this mostly happens during a BM that it is the strain. i had spotting earlier in my pregnancy and after a trip to the ER too i was told that it looks like i have a "sensitive cervix" (sounds funny)! i truly think you'll be just fine especially since the dr.'s said your cervix is closed. i think that is a very good thing wish you all the best!
