Trying to line up my ducks...question re: baby sleeping in your bedroom
Silly question, but my husband snores... pretty bad at times. He has been tested and treated (surgically) for sleep apnea. It has gotten better, but can still keep me awake. How would that work w/ the baby in the room? I want to try to foster good sleeping habits. Is this something that would definitely pose a problem? Anyone else have a snorer sleeping in the room w/ a baby.
I know silly questions

Re: Trying to line up my ducks...question re: baby sleeping in your bedroom
I used to have the TV on, talked on the phone, and she would hear outside noise all the time... NEVER woke her!
But.... my DD is a great sleeper. You will have to make all final judgments when your DC is actually here!

I agree with Lisa.
But I have to tell you that I live near Islip airport and my DH has a VERY loud Mustang and DS can sleep through ANYTHING b/c he got used to all the noise around our house when he was a newborn!

Re: Trying to line up my ducks...question re: baby sleeping in your bedroom
My DD slept in our room until she was about 11 weeks, and I was certain that my DH would wake her with his snoring. She sleeps solid in her own room.
It could be that she's older now, but DH snores so loud that I can hear him downstairs with the TV on.

Re: Trying to line up my ducks...question re: baby sleeping in your bedroom
its louder in the maternity ward nursery remember..
my hubby snores but it actually soothes me to sleep since my father and brother (both now on CPAPs for Apnea) both snore!
I snore too if my allergies are bad and im exhausted. I apparently did a few nights ago and faced AJ and my hubby says she opened her eyes to star at me look at me like 'what was that?' then went back to sleep

Re: Trying to line up my ducks...question re: baby sleeping in your bedroom
I think DC will get used to whatever environment they are in. The one thing I would actually think about, is that if DC starts in your room with DH snoring, DC may not be able to sleep when they eventually move to their own room!

My husband is a horrible snorer....while it bugs the heck out of me, it has never woken either of our children....I do kick him sometimes and tell him hes going to wake the baby, but in reality it doesnt. The littlest noise will wake them, but not the snoring. Go figure!!!
