TTC & Clinique 3-step skincare
Does anyone use it?? Has anyone asked their doctor about it?
I was a die-hard Proactiv girl, but wasn't loving it the last few months. I am thinking of switching.

Clinique three step is wonderful. I am sure you can use it while ttc. I used it while pg and while ttc. I have nver been to the doc and he asked me what skin care I use.

Just make sure you don't use the ones with salycylic acid, which is not safe during pregnancy.

salycylic acid is one of the ingredients in the second step - but way down on the list . Is a certain amount safe, or should it be avoided all together?

I'm not sure... maybe check with your doctor and find out. I'm a believer in avoiding anything that is potentially harmful, but thats just me.... meanwhile, my skin is awful right now because I'm not using anything special

Re: TTC & Clinique 3-step skincare
I am definitely going to call. The other two steps seem fine, and the main ingredient in the questionable step is witch hazel, so maybe in the short-term I'll switch to just witch hazel.

Re: TTC & Clinique 3-step skincare
I was told by my doctor that salicylic acid was fine. She just told me to stay away from any products containing retin A.
It seems that every doctor has a different opinion.

This info. is just about a certain topical chemical peel treatment though. Not a face wash or toner. (Neutrogena, clinique etc.)

Salycilic Acid topical is the kind you use to wash your face, you're applying it "topically" meaning you're not ingesting it...
Salicylic Acid – If used in a gel, lotion, ointment, pad, soap, or other topical solution, Salicylic Acid can help peel and dry the skin for the treatment of acne and other skin conditions. As with most topical medications, very small amounts of the product are absorbed. Birth defects or problems during breastfeeding are not likely to occur.
