TTC after chemical pregnancy
Tomorrow I'll get the bloodwork results that will confirm I had a chemical pregnancy this month. The doctors said I should wait another month, get a "normal period" and then start trying again. I really don't want to wait, of course!!
Has anyone kept trying the month after a chemical pregnancy?

Re: TTC after chemical pregnancy
Here's a helpful thread recently posted on the PG boards about the same topic.
My close friend recently had a chemical. She went in for another beta to make sure her levels dropped below 5, and the doctor then gave her the go-ahead to resume TTC.
I am so sorry for your loss

Re: TTC after chemical pregnancy
Thanks guys! The annoying part is that the doctor acted like there is still a chance I am pg. Stop getting my hopes up!!
That thread was really helpful, thanks!! I think we'll keep trying.

Re: TTC after chemical pregnancy
my first mc last year the same thing happend to me with them acting like there is a still a change i am pg. When we decided to ttc again I decided to switch doctors in hopes of someone who is more of a straight shooter- since its natural you can start ttc sooner-

Re: TTC after chemical pregnancy
With a chemical pregnancy, there really is no need other than maybe an emotional need to wait to TTC again. Most women never even know they had a chemical pregnancy and would think they just go their period.
Nowadays more women are more aware they have chemical pregnancies because more and more women are taking pregnancy tests before their period is due.

I'm in exactly the same boat right now. My doc called and told me to come in for blood work. I feel like saying, come on, I KNOW I have my period here. Let's move on.
I'm sorry you're going through this too.
Some responses on pregnancy with my recent thread may help: thread

Re: TTC after chemical pregnancy
Is it just me or is 4 chemical pregnancies in two weeks insane. What is going on with us?!
I recently moved to the area & hadn't found a doctor yet. After my chemical I called to set up an appt with a doctor & they said there was no need for me to come in earlier than our scheduled appt or stop TTCing.

Re: TTC after chemical pregnancy
Thanks for all the info! I agree that most people would think this is just a period, so why should I have to wait a full month to start TTC'ing again?
Sorry for all those who have had a chemical pg this month.
