TTC after methotrexate...
My doctor had originally mentioned that I should avoid TTC for 6 months (back in Feb - which would mean Aug or Sept for restarting TTC) once my levels went to zero... then at my April 6th appt. he said DH and I could start trying again after two full cycles (which now is June)... For those who had MTX for ectopic, what did your Doctor's suggest?
I'm really confused and now starting to worry myself about possible birth defects if I "accidentally" become PG prior to the 6 months... KWIM.

I took methotrexate long term for my rheumatoid arthritis. I went off of it last August and I was told by my rheumy 6 months and by another doctor 4 months. Methotrexate is very dangerous and I would wait a minimum of 4 months before TTC again. I am so sorry that you have to go through this.

It took 3 months for my HCG to go back to zero after my shot. My doctor told me I could start TTC again then.
Maybe call back the doctor and talk to him about your concerns
