Re: tubes in ears..
My daughter was 9 months old. She is 20 months now and the tubes are still in place and working their wonders. It turned out to be the best decision. She suffered so much as an infant with recurring ear infections. If you have any questions, please feel free to FM me.

Re: tubes in ears..
how many ear infections did your dcs have when the doctor recommended tubes? Sydney is 11 months old and now has her third one.

Re: tubes in ears..
Caiden had double ear infections. He ended up with tubes around 16 months old. He was having ear infection every month for 8 months so he had to get them. But I can say that he hasn't had an infection since he got the tubes and he'll be 3 in January! The only thing that's a pain in the butt was that anytime they're in water they have to wear earplugs. Even during bathtime. Though with Caiden I had no problems putting them in. (We used the ones you can mold) They fell out within 6 months later. I was worried about it myself but I'm sooo glad he had them done. The whole procedure only took 15 minutes if that and he was fine the rest of the day. Good luck!

Re: tubes in ears..
everytime dd gets a tiny cold it turns out to be a double ear infection! She literally got off the medication last Sunday and put back on it this past Saturday...I hate when she gets them bc she is miserable..she had a temp of 103 with medication on Saturday...she is with my niece who is in preschool everyday so everything she brings home from school, Madeline gets...

Re: tubes in ears..
2 years old, and not an infection since then. everything is very smooth, it takes like 15 minutes, and they don't remember a thing. Ask to be in the recovery for when your child wakes up. It makes it easy on the child. HTH
