**Tuesday QOTD**
I've given a lot of thought to how we will tell DH and our families. I'd love to know what everyone else has thought of as well!
Have you thought of a special way of telling your family or husbands?

I go back and forth with different ideas, but I have one idea for DH that's a little silly. I like to cook, so I want to prepare a special meal with a "baby" theme...use things like baby shrimp, baby corn, baby portabellos....and in case he doesn't get it, I'll probably wrap up a "daddy" bib or onsie and the pregnancy test.
For my fame, I want to incorporate my dog somehow. Maybe get him an "I'm going to be a big brother" tee and send him into the room where the family is wearing it.

She and her DH took a picture and put it in a frame and wrapped it up for her parents. They gave it to them with a note that said... Frame, $10, Wrapping Paper, $2, Telling you that there are 3 people in this picture... Priceless.

DH and I were talking about this on Christmas Eve
For the Fam, pending on when it is I would see if there is a holdiay close and maybe give out gifts like the frame or bibs
I was also thinking that my MIL loves black&white cookies and choc covered strawberries - so I am thinking of making them in pink and blue chocolate!!
For DH, I want to wrap up some Yankee or Jet onsie and give it to him

For DH I would really like to put his cat in a shirt that says "I'm going to be a big sister" and do the same for my dog. So when he comes home he will see it. But he will prob be there when I test.
For our families...I am also hoping for good news in January. Unfortunately if I do get the good news it will be after my dad's birthday (Jan 19) but if it wasn't then I would have wrapped a "Grandpa" shirt or something for him for his birthday. If it ends up being around a holiday that I tell my family then I will incorporate that into the theme. If it is not a holiday then I may still buy them all something that says "blank to be" and give it to them. His family lives in Florida so what I would like to do for them is send a bouquet of flowers or an edible arrangement and then track the delivery so that we are on the phone with them when they get it.

I have a few Ideas
1) putting the test in a jewelry box and putting a bow on it. I'll tell DH that I got a gift and he should look at it.
2) ordering a plate that says "your going to be a daddy" and put his dinner on it and when hes done he will see the message.
3) Order chinese or make it... a while ago I saved a fortune cookie thats kinda cracked so i can pull out the old fortune and put in a new one that says "your going to be a daddy" ill seal it back up in the plastic package with double stick tape.
Thats about it! lol I CAN'T WAIT!!

I've always wanted to tell DH by giving him a onesie... either a Giants one or I Love Daddy.
For my family, I haven't really thought about it! Maybe just over a family dinner or something like that.

Chances are if I test DH will be at school because he's a teacher. If I ever get that BFP I want to get a dozen balloons in pink and blue and put them in his car so he sees them at the end of the day! He'll figure it out

I will probably go that day to get a onsie and wrap it up, and of course videotape his reaction!
However........ realistically what is the more likely scenario, is I will run out of the bathroom dragging my pants by my ankles yelling "OOOOOOOMMMMMMGGGGGGGGGGGG"
So, my original plan will only work if DH is not home at the time I discover my BFP!

Good question!
I haven't given all that much thought, though I do know that we'd tell our families early on because we see them all the time. I'm a terrible secret keeper!
It would be fun if it turns out to be centered around a holiday of some sort.
I would have loved an xmas BFP so we would have told everyone at the same time since we all celebrated together.
My next AF is due right before DH's birthday, so if we are lucky this month I would probably do something birthday related!
You girls are so creative, I may have to ask for suggestions when the time comes

So when I got home last night - I told DH about this question and he said oh I was actually thinking about this the other day 
He wants to go on a website that takes your pics and tells you what your baby is going to look like - show our family and be like oh well we will get to see if that is right in 9 months!!
I had the biggest smile on my face - I think it is so cute that he thought about it!
