Tugging on ear
I just spoke with my sister and she said DS was tugging on his ear today. She said otherwise he is totally fine. I noticed him doing this for about 2 weeks now but I thought he just did it when he was tired. She said he just woke up so I guess it can't be that. She mentioned it could be from teething. Has anyones DC done this while teething?

Re: Tugging on ear
It's either because of teething or ear infection. You can tug on his ears and if he yelps then it's an ear infection. Also massage or touch around his gums and if he yelps it's teething. My DS is doing the same and it's teething.

Re: Tugging on ear
Charlie's been doing it for few weeks now too. The last time he did it, it was an ear infection. So this time I took him back to the Dr. and his ears were fine. They also suggested that it's teeting. I think it's that or just a habit now.

Re: Tugging on ear
DD always plays with her ears, esp when she eats. So for her I think its soothing, like twirling your hair but she doesn't have any.
Very often though it is a sign of teething or an ear infection.
