Tummy Tuck Questions answered...Sorry I took sooo long!!

This is for all of the fm's that I have not answered. I am very sorry! Between selling our house and finding the new one, I forgot to to answer all of the fm's.

Lets see..

Cost: It was about $8,000

Doctor: I used Dr. James Romanelli. He is the Chief of Surgery at Huntington Hospital. His office is on Main Street in Huntington. His # 631-424-3600

The surgery: I had it done in the hospital, but you can also have it done in the in-office surgery suite.

Insurance Coverage: My insurance covered the hernia repair and part of the anesthesia. A lot of people asked about getting sick from it, but the Doctor can inject an anti-nausea drug into the i.v. to prevent that.

The length of surgery: I can't tell you for sure, but along with the tummy tuck, I had the hernia repair and a breast reduction.

Recovery: I had MIL stay with me for 3 weeks. You can't lift children or do house work for about that long. You could probably do a desk job at about 2 weeks.

results: I am very happy. I had a ton of loose skin from my 2 big babies. I don't look like a model or have a six pack or anything, but I am as close to the way I was before kids as can be expected.

The scar: Doesn't bother me. I feel like it was a good trade off.

Make sure that you are done having children before you do this surgery!!

Any thing that I left out, please feel free to ask!

HTH

Tara

Thank you for the info! I definitely plan on this in a few years--still deciding if we will "call it quits" after DS is born or if we'll have another--but this is something that I've always promised myself I would do later on...that, and have a breast lift so I can pick my nursing boobs up off the floor Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
