Turkey or Chicken Burger
Does anyone have any good recipe's for either a Turkey or a chicken burger?? I have only made it once and it wasn't that good. DH has high cholesterol and I am running out of things to make, need some different ideas to try!

Re: Turkey or Chicken Burger
I don't really have a recipe as I don't measure ingredients or anything. But I always try new things with Chicken and Turkey burgers.
With Chicken burgers, I like to make them fajita like..
Ground chicken taco seasoning dash of worchester sauce I throw a little bit of salsa in salt/pepper
mix it all up, make into patties and either grill them, or I throw them under the broiler.
Turkey burgers, I do the same thing, I play with ingredients. Sometimes I'll throw some shredded mozz cheese in the mix. last night I chopped up some mushrooms, toasted up some shallots and garlic and then mixed those in. salt/pepper.

I add a little blue cheese and fresh basil. It gives it such a fresh taste. Salt and pepper to season as well.

Re: Turkey or Chicken Burger
I found a great recipe on foodnetwork.com for a spicy turkey burger. It basically has cumin, oregano, and onion powder, and a few tablespoons of salsa. The salsa is great b/c they don't get too dry. I made these the other night on the grill and they came out great.

Re: Turkey or Chicken Burger
this is what i make:
1 pack of ground turkey meat 1 clove of garlic (crushed) 1 tablespoon of season salt (any brand) 1 teaspoon of balckpepper 1/4 of a cup of marsala cooking wine (i use the brand Hollan House) you can find in vinegar section Mix up your meat and seasonings & let it sit for about about a 1/2 hr.
then roll them into patties. preheat your non-stick frying pan put about 1 tablespoon of olive oil and cook.
i always get compliments whenever I make them and they are yummy.
if you ever make them let know how it goes!

i know this is an old post but...... sometimes turkey burgers (and turkey meat_) is higher in cholesterol and fat than lean red meat. My DH and I were amazed, so be careful and read the ingredients.
