I think somebody posted that they are TV shows for children in sign language.
What channel is it on? What is/are the show(s) called? What age group is it for?
TIA

This is an excellent series. Sorry so long but here is the touching story of how it came about.
The co-creator, Rachel Coleman, was a singer/musician who discovered her daughter (Leah) was deaf at 14 months old. She, her DH and her sister and BIL (they all lived in one big house) all enrolled in a sign language submersion course and immediately began to sign everything they said to each other so as to learn as quickly as possible.
A few months later, Rachel's sister, Emilie, had a little boy (Alex). In order for the cousins to communicate, they began to sign to Alex as well. Later, Alex was enrolled at the same school for the deaf as Leah attended even though his hearing is fine.
Their father is a veteran of video production so they decided to make a video of basic signs and distribute it to their extended family members as a Christmas present that year so they too could communicate with Leah.
Because of the family's background in video production and music, despite being an amateur video it was very well done... copy after copy was made. Word got out and long story short it morphed into a video series on PBS.
In the interum, Rachel and her DH had another daughter, born with disabilities. She is the little girl in the videos who is in the wheelchair. They also taught her sign language and at the age of two she communicated for the first time using sign language.
My BF has written several grants for them and introduced me to the series. We love the DVD's in this house. The Coleman family has turned what could be a devistating event into a wonderful educational tool for many families, schools and daycares.
The Baby Signing Time Vol I and II are my favorite baby gifts to give.

I'm so glad you shared this. We just love the show. My mom discovered it on Free On-Demand and started watching it with DS. I am going to bookmark this so I can share this story with her.
Oh, and now I can't go anywhere w/o having the songs stuck in my head

If you have IO - go to on demand - and then select free on demand - then go down to I think the last page to kids on thirteen or something like that - than it is alphabetically listed - I think it is on the 3rd page.
