Twin Baby Gear Question
Hello all. I am new to this site, and also a new mom-to-be. I am about 4 and a half months pregnant with twins, and we're so excited. I will be getting ready to register soon, but I have no idea what to register for!!!!
This is all new to me, and I am just really confused about what items I need to double up on. This would have been difficult for me if I were having just one, having two makes it even more overwhelming. Any help, or websites where I could get some info on baby gear for twins would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Re: Twin Baby Gear Question
There are so many things you can get doubles of then again so many things are a waste.
I would be 2 boppy pillows one exasaucer, one jumper one play gym (floor-) My guys fit on one 2 bouncy chairs A single stroller (for when you have to take one out to Dr or wherever) A rocking chair for baby (fisher price) We couldn't live without it. Good for colic too if babies have-they love motion. SHeet savers..love these.
OF course you need the normal stuff cribs, high chairs etc.
If I think of anything really important will let you know.

Re: Twin Baby Gear Question
This is what i needed:
2 cribs 2 mattresses 2 bassinets 2 boppy pillows 1 exersaucer and 1 jumparoo 1 swing and 1 bouncer 2 infant to toddler rockers (i used these a lot more once they started holding their own bottles so i can get ready for work in the mornings. I still use them at 15 months) 1 play gym ( i had 2 and only needed 1) 2 bumbos 2 car seats 2 extra bases for the car seats (we had 2 bases in my car and 2 in DH's car) 1 double snap n go 1 single stroller 1 large diaper bag
This was the major stuff I used aside from bottles and stuff liek that. I don't remember how many bottles i used at that point, but it was a lot. We tried using the playtex drop ins but my twins didn't do well with them.

Re: Twin Baby Gear Question
so far at 6 months (16 weeks adjusted)
we use 2Fisher Price bouncers (we had another brand and got another FP. It is great for feeding when there is only one adult, and if you are carrying both, to plop one in for a min before strapping them in.) 1 regular swing and 1 graco snug ride swing frame 2 bottle props 2 boppies 1 play gym we were just told NO Exasuacers or jumperoos because they were preemies and it promotes bad muscle development in places they already have poor muscle development from being preemies
I ened up pumping so we have 10 bottles and about 14 nipples, we use drop ins so it is the # of nipples that matter for us.
we have 2 bumbos, (I got those on craigs list) no one is really a fan yet.
and the do not leave home without item cloud B travel gentile giraffe and the white noise app on our phones
and all of the obvious stuff, car seats, cribs high chairs etc....

Re: Twin Baby Gear Question
Porkchop list is great I would just get two saline sprays and snot suckers, two rectal thermometers, one of for each baby and maybe an ear one. Tons of bibs. just when you think you have too many, buy 10 more. and at least 15 wash clothes. keep some in your diaper bag. i keep upstairs and down.
boppy covers. have at least 2 each.
spoons, bowls, most babies start food at 4-5 months so its here before you know it.
paci wipes - for when you go out.
many people say paci holders are a waste..i don't think so, it clips on to bag so when your kid is freaking out in public you don't have to look around in a never ending baby bag to find one.
hand sanitizer. for each room in your house. and travel sizes for every bag. car. etc.
infant car seat toys - they loved staring at them from the get.
soothies - try to steal some from the hospital :)
dont open two of everything right away till you are sure both like it. ie both my babies loved the swing. so two were needed. if both or one hate something you can return the other and buy diapers!
swaddles !!!!! and gas drops
nail clippers and files
sound machine
Good luck
