Twin mommies plez help!! Looking for pro-vinginal delivery doctor in suffolk
Hi! I am 35 weeks now with twins, and both twins are vertex since last week. I was very glad that my doctor is pro-virginal delivery until I found out that he is on vacation 2/3 of the time during the summer. So here I am, desperate to find a pro-virginal delivery doctor that is experienced and willing to do breech extraction in case baby B turn around after baby A is born. Please help! I am very nervous and is trying very hard to avoid unnecessary c section.

try the Stony Brook Midwives. I used them and was planning a VBAC with twins, but developed preeclampsia and with one twin breech ended up with a c-section. They do work with ob-gyns should there be an emergency. Stony Brook hospital which has a great NICU.

Dr. O'Keefe at Stony Brook OBGYn said he is the only one in the practice who can deliver twins if one happens to be breech or turned. He said most med school programs are not teaching how to turn a baby they just go right for a c-section. He said if he delivers me most likely it will be vaginal.

My doctor - dr. callan at north shore medical group is pro vaginal and will deliver a vertex/breach baby
i have vertex/breech and we have discussed it numerous times and has no problem doing it and so can 2 of her other 3 partners - only the new one can't

My OB GYN was pro vaginal from the beginning. He is in Nassau and I delivered at LIJ with another dr in the practice whom I never met before- turns out she was awesome. My babies remained in head down position since 30 weeks and stayed that way until I pushed them out at 37 wks 2 dys. No problems, no complications, overall not too bad. Good luck.
