Anyone with me? What's your list?

I need to be knocked out so I stop stressing and stop stressing DH.

I think that we told Behr's that we wanted to furniture for April but that March would be okay for delivery as well. April 2nd and I am a wreck that it's not here. Chat Icon Chat Icon

My List
Put flooring down in the baby's closet
Put a clothes bar in closet
Remove three dressers and one armoire from the room
Clean the windows
Put up the blinds
Put up the curtain rods
Hang the drapes
Wash clothes (May)
Shampoo Carpet
Change door knobs
Put in shelf and rod in downstairs closet (we are keeping coats in the baby's room right now)
Order Rocker/Glider and Ottoman
Final registry purchases after shower (still things on there that I will need)

But..I have to give DH a Chat Icon because he woke up early yesterday morning to insulate the attic crawl space in front of the baby's room (we live in a cape). He did a great job.

Don't stress! Whatever needs to get done will get done, and what ever doesn't can wait!

My DD came three weeks early - we were living at my mom's while my hardwood floors were being refinished! When I came home from the hospital, all of the furniture from our second floor was still in the MBR. DD's furniture didn't arrive until she was 6 weeks old, and believe me it wasn't a problem at all!

It will all work out - once you have that baby in your arms, nothing else will matter.

Put up the blinds
Put up the curtain rods

And sooooo much more. Chat Icon

Re: Two months but getting anxious about things to do list

dont worry ang all will get done!
I have about 4-6 wks left, and just now we're getting started, I'm have my entire central AC unit redone,
then I want to redo the babies closet, widen that door way, change the doors and pull out and layout new hardwood floors in babys room and my room....
it can be done! just the next 3 wks will be really busy
have faith!

as far as painting the baby's room, for us I dont want dh painting it till after baby is born, just so he can paint it either blue or pink based on our paint choices, he can do that while i'm in the hospital, and then the furniture can arrive, either way baby will be in my room in a bassinet for a bit.

the lil things like washing baby stuff is easy enuff

Thanks everyone - I needed the reality check. And it is so true - once he's in my arms I would bet anything that this list is the last thing I will care about.

I am so bad with these things...DH says that I am the only person he knows that has to find things to worry about. He's right Chat Icon

Oy! I'd be dying if that was my to do list at this point! I'm a complete control freak and organizational NUT. I admit it. Chat Icon My original deadline was May 1...but I moved it up a month! Chat Icon I finished right on time yesterday with my new drill and the door to the nursery!

Mainly all I've got left is:

*Have a shower.
*Open and organize gifts and send thank yous.
*Buy all the stuff I totally need that I don't get from the shower. [and by need, I mean need and want. hee]
*Sterilize things that need it closer to due date.
*Pack bag for hospital/install carseats.
*Have the baby.

Of course, I started working on the nursery at like 7 weeks when DH thought I was totally insane...he still thinks I am, but at least now he sees that I can relax from now on. That's why I drove myself crazy in the beginning!Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
