Two Q's in one - Post Partum Body and Spanx

I am 4 wks pp and have only lost a little over 10lbs. The worst part is my belly still looks about 4 mos pg. I am BF and eating very healthy but, not exercising per my dr. I was normal weight and in good shape when I got pg - gained 30lbs at my delivery date (but about 5lbs was in the last week 1/2 so probably mostly water) and exercised throughout my pg until the last 3 wks. IN fact, I think I looked better 9 mos pg than I do now.

My Q is - Is there something wrong with me? I keep speaking to friends who have lost soooooooooooo much weight at this point and say their stomachs are not looking pg anymore and I am starting to get worried - I guess I will ask my OB at my 6 wk visit.

Second q - is it ok to wear spanx? Is it ok to put that kind of pressure on my uterus and organs that are obviously still out of place? I have a wedding and a few parties in the next few weeks and I am dreading being asked "WHEN ARE YOU DUE??????"

don't worry it will come off, but your body will probably not look the same, one of the joys of pregnancy

Definitely whip out the spanx. I wore them....they help suck everything in.

give yourself some timeChat Icon it took a good 2 months with both pg's for my belly to deflate.
Def though wear the spanx to the wedding to give yourself a good boost of confidenceChat Icon

Took me a good 6 months to feel like I looked like my old self (though not 100%) - but def. go for the spanx in the meantime@
