Two Questions - Dress for Wedding with Pic
Hi Ladies -
Two Questions. #1, I went shopping last night and fell in love with this dress in the middle in a Deep Indigo Blue:
Two questions:
1) Would it be ok to wear for a wedding this weekend or way too summery? I did buy a furry small nude color shoulder shrug to wear with it. Not sure if you can tell but it has a nude sheer section underneath.
2) If you think it's ok to wear it, i'm looking for a pair of nude shoes to go with it. Any suggestions? Pics? Links? I'm stumped.
My "go to" color is always black. I have about 50 black dresses so decided to be a little "crazy." As you can tell, my life is so exciting

I love the dress and I bet it looks amazing in the blue, but it is very summery. And it's supposed to be really cold this weekend!

Re: Two Questions - Dress for Wedding with Pic
I dunno, I'm thinking it's the bright yellow in the pic that makes it scream "summer," and that it would look better for October in the deep blue.
It IS still a warm-weather style... I'm looking at the spaghetti straps and imagining how cold you will be But really, if you love it? Wear it. What's the worst that can happen? Someone will have something to say about you being seasonally inappropriate? I'd be more concerned if it was too casual or revealing, or if the dress was white or something.

Re: Two Questions - Dress for Wedding with Pic
I think you will be fine in the blue, with the shrug.
Unless you are hanging outdoors all night, I would not worry.
I went to a wedding a couple weeks ago at the Watermill and the women guests had on all different styles.
There were a few girls that were wearing the Snookie/Deena style clubwear who shouldn't have and I thought that looked more
then the dress you have picked!

Re: Two Questions - Dress for Wedding with Pic
How deep of a blue? Maybe you could do a black shrug with black patent peep toes or something to give it more of a "fall" look?

Its sounds like you love the dress and are already set on wearing it. I say go for it. If you love it that much you'll feel comfortable and be happy. I think a shrug would help mkae it a little more fall like.

Thank you ladies I'm a nerd and totally stuck on wearing it. I'm going to try it on tonight with the shawl again and see what hubby says.

I think it's gorgeous...As long as the wedding is inside who cares if it's summery. The color I think will "fall" it up a bit too.
