Re: two questions about naps and bottles?

I can't really answer about the bottles, but J&M have just started taking two naps - they are 6.5 months, they started sleeping later, so it cut out the third nap. Now they are waking up around 7:30-8 instead of going down for the first nap at that time. Who knows if it will last!

Interesting...DD is 6.5 months too but still wakes bet 6-630 and still has her first nap at 8ish....but her naps are short so was wondering if I should try to consolidate...Chat Icon

Re: two questions about naps and bottles?

I didn't go down to three bottles until DD was eating food for three meals a day. I guess it was around 10 months?? Still at 18 months she gets 3 bottles or Sippys of milk a day.

Naps she was on two naps a day around 6 months. One in the morning and one in the afternoon.

Re: two questions about naps and bottles?

Honestly, Reilly just started taking 2 naps about a month ago at 8 months. She was always a horrible napper until I got militant about them. lol She is still taking 4 bottles at 9 months but if I really wanted to I could probably cut it down to 3 now. Maybe after her 9 month well visit I will. Chat Icon

My DD is 8.5 months old and takes about 3 naps a day. I plan on keeping it this way as long as possible.
She still drinks 4 6 oz bottles and day and eats 3 times a day. I probably could make two of her bottles more and cut out one, but she does better drinking smaller amounts. I may just lessen one bottle to 4 oz. and still keep the 4 bottles.

DD is 11 months. Sometimes she takes 3 naps , sometimes 2. It depends on how long her second nap was. I usually try to put her to bed around 6:30-7ish so if she wakes up anywhere before 1:30 from her 2nd nap then i put her down for another nap around 3:30.

Jen-- sorry to hijack, but is Chels still sleeping for only 30 mins at a time? How many naps is she taking a day?

noooo, she sleeps a good hour or so each nap, sometimes 45 minutes, but if she ever were to wake up after 30 mins I get her back to sleepChat Icon the short one is the 45 minute nap...usually the longer one is 1hr 15 to 2 hours...

Re: two questions about naps and bottles?

Honestly, I don't really have a tight schedule yet and it is working out fine. I did think she was going to have just 3 bottles today, but she started crying after her bath and gulped down 8 oz. She naps on and off throughout the day. No set times. She does however, wake up every morning at 6:30 AM.
