Two questions......Pediatrician, Hospital Tour
1. How many weeks were you, when you made an appt for a consultation for pediatricians??
2. When did you make an appt for the hospital tour?

We already have our pediatrician. She was recomended to us by my midwife practice. We interviewed her last week and she fit perfectly with our beliefs. I am 19W.
We did this fairly early because she runs a small practice and only takes on a limited amount of patients and I wanted to make sure she would be able to take us on!

I don't hear about homebirths too much. I don't think I could ever do it myself, but I Love hearing about them.

I don't hear about homebirths too much. I don't think I could ever do it myself, but I Love hearing about them.
Yeah they aren't as common in the northeast...the west coast is starting to see an increase in them!
THere is another mom on here who had 1 last year.... I think she and I are the only ones!

I'm due Feb 15

My hospital tour was given during my 5 week childbirth/lamaze class. We had our ped. consult this week, and I am 35 weeks along.
ETS: I was 33 weeks when I went on the tour.

We're doing the tour when I'm 29 or 30 weeks, forget when we're going....mush for brains...We started looking at pediatricians recently since I'm overly anal, I'm 27 weeks and 2 days....

we had a ped appt I believe at 32 weeks...
we never did the hospital tour 
eh, it's stony brook. I've gone to school and worked there for 18 years  .... I figure it can't be anything too suprising. I'll just run up to the 8th floor crying in pain and let them take care of me

I did the hospital tour around 33 weeks and the pediatrician interview at 36 weeks or so.

I am 30 weeks and just made appmts for peditrician interviews. They will be over the next 2-3 weeks, so I'll be 32/33 weeks at the time of the interview. I'm planning on setting up a hospital tour at my next appointment (32 weeks), so shortly after that. I also have a consult with OB anesthesia at 32 weeks (I have a fused spine so want to know how difficult an epi will be if I need one)

I always knew which ped I was using.
I never took a hospital tour but was sent there two days before I was induced to do a growth sono - so I kind of got the feel for it then. It was a good practice run!

We're doing the hospital tour next week, before our first appt (just how it worked out). Once a month there's a meet the midwife night and hospital tour given.

Pediatrician - 32 weeks
Hospital tour - 35 weeks
ETA: I made the appt. for the hospital tour two
months prior.
