two refrigerators?

do you have two?

i know some people have one in the kitchen and one in the basement or garage.

i dont have a basement or garage.. i have a shed but no electric to it.

people keep telling me how great it is to have two, for when you have company, etc.

i have a closet that i was planning on turning into a pantry. i have plenty of cabinet space and another closet (not as close to the kitchen) that i can fill with pantry things. plus i have a beverage fridge in my den.

people are convincing me to keep another fridge in the closet where i would have put a pantry. it will fit, and ill have some storage space above it for things i dont need every day.

yet im still not sure if i should do this


what do you all think?

We just moved. We brought our old fridge with us and it's in the garage, but it's unplugged. I figure if we have big bbqs during the summer, we'll plug it in a few days ahead of time & keep stuff in it, but I don't see us using it that much.

If you have an extra, then maybe hold on to it, but I wouldn't buy one. On the other hand, if you have an extra and don't want to use it, LIPA will give you $50 for it.

I miss having 2. We just moved into our house and right now and we only have the one in the kitchen.

Once we redo the kitchen, we will move this one into the basement.

i do have a fridge already which i could use..so i wouldnt be buying one.

maybe ill keep it...and if i find that i dont use or need pantry space later on, ill change it.

We're remodeling our kitchen. New fridge arrived yesterday. Old fridge is going into the garage. Definitely like that we'll have the extra space to store the stuff we don't need on hand.

We dont have two fridges but we do have two freezers. We have a side by side in the kitchen and then a full size freezer in the garage. IMO Id rather have an extra freezer because you can stock up more on items that can be frozen whereas refrigerated items usually dont last as long. But everyone has different needs. I say if you really think you'd benefit from it and can fit it then why not?

We have 2. We got a new one when we moved in and put the old one in the basement. With twins it is nice to be able to stock up on organic milik at BJs. I agree with the PP that the freezer is def more important and always full which is nice. If you have the room then I would do it

i only have one, but i'm dying for a deep freeze..i do lot of couponing, and we're planning on doing a lot of gardening this summer, so i hope to freeze things then as well..

I have 2. One is in the garage. I keep it unplugged to save on electricity, but if I have a big event I am hosting, I throw it back on days beforehand.

I have a refrigerator in my attached garage, and of course one in the kitchen. I've had it since shortly after we bought the house, and now I can't imagine NOT having it. But I entertain a lot.

The house we're moving into has 1 in the kitchen and 1 in the basement that they're leaving.

I'm excited to go from an apartment size fridge to 2 fridges!!

I think it's good for when you have parties but I'm more excited to have more room to freeze things.

I only have one. I don't have space for another, and I don't like to store too much food because I think I'll never get to use it before it expires. I know many people with 2 or more though.

We have two refrigerators. Both are usually stocked, too. DW shops a lot at BJs, so it's great having the extra space.
We also have the benefits of a side-by-side (easier for DC to get things from the freezer), and the benefits of a top-freezer (wide enough for large items).

We have two, I honestly don't know what we'd do without the second one, especially around the holidays.

My parents live downstairs from us so they have one, we have one in our kitchen then we have 2 in the garage.One jsut has beer and soda in it for BBQs

We have two fridges (one in the kitchen and one in the basement - our old one - we bought a new one two years ago) and we have a huge freezer we took from my parents years ago. We like to entertain and it has definitely come in handy. I would not have gone out and bought another fridge though. It just worked out that we bought a new one when we were redoing some of the kitchen and kept the old one.

We have only one fridge, but two freezers.

We have a regular refrigerator/freezer in our kitchen and an upright deep freezer in our garage. I couldn't live without it!
