Wow sounds like someone really dropped the ball...I'd be so frustrated. Not to mention, if there are no co's in place and then you get them, your taxes will likely go up. Have You spoke to your attorney or the lender? What are they advising? I hope it works out for you and you can close on time!

Re: two weeks from estimated closing date
maybe the sellers lied about having the c/o's so it was just assumed that everything would come up clear when title came in? did ur title just come in?
not that this is ok - i would be so angry if i were you. i'm trying to schedule a closing date since this morning and no one is getting back to me. i feel your pain.

you shouldn't have to lose the rate.. can't the sellers pay to extend it, as I am assuming this is their fault?

totally their fault and the windows in one room are not up to code (size) so they need to be redone too . I just can't believe this, and everything was going so smoothly
too good to be true!

Re: two weeks from estimated closing date
They just need to get the permits. We had this issue with our bay windows and we were able to close on the house once the seller had the permits. 2 months after we bought the house the village came to inspect it. Money gets put aside in escrow until it's fixed.
