Re: Tyson's manhood...gone as of Friday....
Is he staying over or can you pick him up that night??
I didn't have Otis stay over we went and got him I think I was more upset because when I got him they had one of those huge collars on him which I didn't keep on him for more then one day since they wanted me to keep it on him for 2 weeks no and I also cut it down allot so he could see poor thing was banging into everything. Anyway just TLC and water and make sure he eats alittle proably won't eat much the first night home because of being under but by the next day he should want to eat.
hope this helps!!
Denise
Otis says good luck!!

Thanks, this does help and I'll be picking him up the same day...
The whole cone thing makes me nuts...he had one on when he was little b/c of an ear infection and the poor little guy kept getting stuck on everything...guess we'll be going through it again

Aww.. honestly, you are doing the right thing for him. He will still be the same sweet doggie.... but it will keep him healthier.
He will be tired the first nite(due to anesethiasp?). But the following day, he will be back to his old self.

Other than his health the only other concern I have is that is was going to change his personality, I've read that it could happen.
He's such a good little guy I hope that doesn't change

I was hoping that Molly being spayed would chill her out...the scars on my hand show that didn't happen.

Re: Tyson's manhood...gone as of Friday....
first off, if your vet accepts the Frinds of animal coupon, totally use it. My vet accepted it so the neuter was only $54.
When Rocky was neutered, we picked him up that evening. he couldn't walk at all. We brought his little doggie bed and plopped him on there for the car ride home and to bring him into the house. first night he didn't really eat and drank very little (Be careful not to give that much liquids at once, he can throw up). When we brought him home, he was scared and mad at us for a while and shaking, that he went right inder the dining room table. after a while of calling him he walked back to his bed and stayed thre all nigHt. If he moved he would let out a cry By the ext day, he was back to normal.
My grandfather's dog was spayed a couple of weeks ago and even though she was a little groGgy, she wasn't half as dramatic as Rocky.
MY VET SAID THAT MALES ARE MUCH MORE DRAMATIC WHEN IN PAIN AS OPPOSED TO FEMALES.
