Uch! So confused! TTC experts, please help!
Ok, so, today I'm CD12.
The Clear Blue Fertility Monitor this AM did not give me a High Peak reading. BUT, I also messed up the first stick (hey, I was tired, it was 6am, I wasn't paying attention, and missed the target, so to speak ), so I POAS about 20 minutes later, so I suspect the reading wasn't quite as accurate as it would have been if I hadn't messed up the first stick.
My chart is steady. I've been at 97.50 for the last 4 days, except today my reading was 97.6.
Just used the restroom (sorry if TMI), and for the first time this cycle I had a LOT of EWCM.
What does that mean????? Is it possible to get EWCM several days before ovulation. Is it likely I'll ovulate within the next couple of days?
So confused. First time around was so much easier

Are you supposed to use FMU with the CBEFM? I know on the other OV sticks you are supposed to check mid-afternoon.
Wrt EWCM, the last day of it is your most fertile...then you O.
From another thread:
The last day on which fertile Egg White Consistency Cervical Mucus (EWCM) is observed is considered your day of "peak fertility".
Stages of Cervical Fluid: Post Menses
Stage 1: Lasting 2 - 3 days CM is Sticky or Gummy (S) Stage 2: Lasting 2- 4 days: CM is Creamy, Milky, Lotion Like - Beginning of your fertile period (C) Stage 3: Lasting 1-5 days: Egg white Cervical Fluid - At this time you are very fertile. (E) Stage 4: Dry, Moist or Sticky (Infertile)

Yes, sometimes I would start getting EWCM as early as 5-6 days before I ovulated. It just indicates ovulation is approaching. SO, BD and keep BDing until you know for sure you've O'd.

Yes, the CBEFM requires FMU, unlike typical OPK's (omg, acronym city! ), but I really think I screwed up this morning's test.
Thank you SO much for the info - it's really helpful!

I got EWCM starting 4 days prior to ovulation. on my actual O day, CM had pretty much all but dried up. I think it's possible you are still 3-5 days away.
Also, I have heard the CBEFM takes a couple months to get used to your cycle. you might want to try supplementing with OPKs in the meantime.

Sounds like you're still a few days away.... Although I'm far from an expert- Keep checking- you'll probably O in the next 4-5 days..

If it were me I would BD tonight based on the EWCM. Then test with the CBEFM tommorow am to see if the reading is high peak.
