Ugg. Just heard from my dr's nurse...
My estridol was in the high 70s (it was in the 30s last Thursday and then I doubled the Clomid). Anyway.... now they told me to check off another test on my bloodwork paperwork. She said my dr is checking to make sure that they didn't miss something and that I didin't ovulate already. I wish I could just talk to my dr. I feel like I'm only getting bits and pieces of things because I never get to see my dr. He's a partner with another dr. (who's older and has more experience) and though he's great and seems very sensitive - he's not MY dr. I'm hoping that my dr. calls me on Monday afternoon to discuss my bloodwork- otherwise I'm going to ask to speak with him directly. This is so frustrating...

This doesn't make sense to me. Your estradiol would drop severely if you O'd...From what I remember my estradiol was about 250-300 on Clomid before I O'd then went down to about 70. I don't think you O'd. I aske dyou before but you didn't answer..do you have PCOS? If so are you on Met? Sometimes the combination of Met and Clomid can help if Clomid alone doesn't

Yes, I have PCOS and yes I'm on met. I hadn't been for a while but I'm back on it for a short time. I'm sorry- for some reason I thought I had responded to you. My levels have stayed between 30something then 60something then 30 something and now mid 70s. I'm hoping I didn't O yet... I would've wasted all of the time, energy, and gotten needles, etc... for nothing. DH hasn't even been around much due to work so we haven't been able to BD at all. I was hoping I would O this weekend but not according to the other dr- he thought it would be sometime next week. I'm going to start checking on my own- I had been and they told me not to- but I'm going to anyway.

Re: Ugg. Just heard from my dr's nurse...
??? That doesn't make sense to me. - haven't you been getting sonograms all the time and your follies have not grown very much? How would you have ovulated without them knowing in between sonos? And also I think your estradiol is still low -
Definitely, definitely ask to speak to your doctor on Monday - you need to find out what's going on! Is there any way you can call back today and ask to speak to the doctor? Or at least leave him a message to call you back first thing Monday.

Yes, I have been getting sonograms the whole time (and I am sore enough to prove it!!!) as well as blood work. I was never told what my estridiol should be so I don't know what I should compare it to. The dr. is gone for the day and I must be dumb because I have been looking online and don't understand the charts that I found (or were given to me by someone on here). I'm so confused...

Re: Ugg. Just heard from my dr's nurse...
Well Day 3ish estradiol levels should be between 25-75. This is before your follies have grown and they are far from mature. The level should be (I think) 150-200 per each mature follicle - so right before you are ready to O it should be at least 150+.
Your levels have been consistently low throughout your cycle - and your sonos haven't shown any growth, right? That's why I'm thinking that you definitely haven't O'd yet and might not unless your dosage is raised or you try something else. The EXACT same thing happened to me, that's why I'm saying this...I know it is totally depressing, frustrating and disappointing.
I just had Day 3 testing on Monday and my estradiol was 58 - they said that was a perfect starting level.

Re: Ugg. Just heard from my dr's nurse...
This is what confuses me- if I remember correctly, I took the clomid on CD 5-9. They never tested me on CD3. Then 2 days after I finished the pills I went in for my first round of bloodwork and a sonogram. Then like 4 days later more bloodwork then 4 days after that more bloodwork and my next sonogram. Now I'm on CD27, but my 2nd round of clomid (which my dr said is still the same cycle). The estridol level raised over 40pts since my last test so maybe that's a good sign... I guess we'll have to see what they say on Monday. I bought tons of ovulation tests at Eckerd when they had their big sales since they changed to Rite Aid so I don't care if I waste them-it'll give me peace of mind.

Re: Ugg. Just heard from my dr's nurse...
I do not think you are ovulating. If you are getting that many sono's and bloodwork...they would know. 70 does not indicate ovulation IMO...I think you need a higher dose or maybe you shoul discuss injectibles-also not sure how long you've been on Clomid but that max recommended time is 6 months

Thanks- this is only my 2nd round of Clomid. I think if it doesn't take they'll probably up it again and do another round and then we'll have to look into injectibles. My dr told me if it didn't work by the 3rd cycle that it probably wouldn't so it would be time to try something else.

I was told E2 would be over 200 for each mature egg before ovulation. That's one factor they look at when determining when to trigger me. I'm not sure you've Oed yet either. This must be very frustrating for you!

I think that if 100 didn't work, they'd up you next month to 150 - but that's the max safe dosage so if 150 doesn't do it then injectibles would be the next step. Would you do injectibles?

Re: Ugg. Just heard from my dr's nurse...
Thanks ladies I am going to see what they say the next step- I'm guessing it'll be the 150 if this doesn't work. I talked w/DH today and asked him if I decided that I wanted to do injectibles (which I already decided I would even though I HATE and am deathly afraid of needles) if he would give them to me, because I know I couldn't give them to myself. He said he would if I wanted him to. So we'll see where this month takes us...

LOL...DH gives them to me. Honestly the first one was scary...he went to do it but I think he was a little nervous too so he was going really gently...and poked me a little and I jumped about 2 feet in the air and yelled "just do it!!!" he was like "I'm trying but you jumped!" we were cracking up. It hurts less than getting blood work in your arm. The trick is to pinch your belly really hard and you can't feel a thing. I'm glad your DH is on board if it comes to that!!! Good luck...

I do shots twice a day in my stomach. It is fine-you can do it. I woyuld rather do it myself than have my DH do it!

That's great that he is so willing to help out. my dh told me that he's not good with needles...i wanted to rip his head off! good luck hopefully it doesn't come to that.
