UGGHHHH I HATE THE GAP!@!!!!!
I am so mad.. with this store and thier stupid backwards policies...I know they are thrying to avoind thft.. but this is nuts.. i was retuning something with a receipt .. not the orignal but it was items that I had bought with an exchange. I was then going to buy something else.. they have to send me a credit IN THE MAIL in 10 days . SO i call customer service and the moron on the phone says to me that that is the policy and that you can not return an item that has been exchanged and they can only sned you a credit by mail
And they are wondering why they are NOT MAKING ANY MONEY?????
I am so annoyed right now....@!(&*%^#^%^Y^%

Their return policy annoys me. I remember when i was younger I loved the Gap cause you could return anything in any condition for any reason. Now they make a big deal out of everything, even if you have the Gap card. I feel like if I have the card, they should just look it up and take stuff back and not give me such a hard time

Old Navy does the the same thing, if you do not have the original reciept! Very annoying especially when the tags are on the item and it is clearly never worn!

ld Navy made me so mad. I bought the wrong size for FH and all i wanted to do was make an even exchange for the right size. No dice!

Yeah I remember that. In HS a few of my friends worked at the Gap and people would return things that were USED and I mean clearly used not once or twice but repeatedly and they would have to accept the return!!
My friend every year would get a woman who would return all the hats and gloves and scarfs in the spring after using them all winter and they would take it back

Old Navy and the Gap are the same company. I used to work for Old Navy -when they had the really liberal return policy - and theft was SOO bad. People would steal stuff and then return it all - get a gift card with amount for the stuff they returned - and then buy it all again - so they would get stuff for free.
People would also return things that were worn - and we couldn't say anything.
So I can't knock them too much for the new policies.

I forgot to add that I was a manager for the gap for over 3 years.. and we would do anything not to let a customer leave angry.. or even lose the sale

I had the SAME issue with Old Navy. I got some baby clothes for my shower and I just wanted to exchange them for bigger sizes and they wouldn't let me. Of course, by the time I got the credit and went to get the clothes, all of it was gone. I hope my friend doesn't notice my son NEVER wearing her gifts.
