ugh..... 39.5 week appointment
Scone is going NOWHERE.... I repeat NOWHERE. I'm still only 1cm dilated. there are almost no symptoms that labor may be around the corner.
On a good note, however, my amniotic fluid level is still VERY good (16), and there is no need to induce (I REALLY would like to avoid it if possible). my BP is also very good... so no preeclampsia symptoms.
I'm hitting a new low.... my appointments are now TWO TIMES A WEEK . Next one is monday (due date is this sunday).
ugh, come one Scone, time to be promoted to Little Loaf already!

Re: ugh..... 39.5 week appointment
Hang in there....remember that dilation and effacement at an appointment is NO indicator of when labor will start.......You could be o cm dilated and not effaced at an appointment and go into labor that night....or be 3 cm dilated for 3 weeks!!
Its all a surprising waiting game for now!!!

this is what I keep telling myself...
the thing that's so disheartening is that I seldom feel cramping or any other movement down there as if things may be progressing... I think Scone is just chillin' in the pool

I know..... I can only imagine how frustrated I would be when I am there!!!
My sister as 39.5 weeks and wasn't feeling a thing...barely any BH no dilation nothing........ SHe got up to go to the bathroom, her water broke and she immediately went into labor and delivered the baby 7 hours later!!!
She had no warning.....so just remember it can happy at any minute!!!
Enjoy your last few minutes....hours...days

I agree with this. When my sister had my nephew last year, she had her 39 week appointment and as the doctor said to her "was shut up nice and tight". She woke up the next morning and her water had broken. My nephew was born 9 hours later!

Re: ugh..... 39.5 week appointment
oh I'm in lab right now.... and I'm obviously goofing off on LIF at the moment but I'm trying to motivate myself to make about 50 slides today....
think I can do it w/o my ankles exploding (becuase of the lab stool and wierd bent position I'll have to maintain)? let's take bets after all, there's no sense taking bets on when Scone will arrive
