Ugh, I am freaking out that she's going to get sick...

I have such a bad cold and I'm the only one home with her all day, I keep touching her pacifier, and everything else...she's only 7 weeks old...I keep checking her temperature and suffice it to say she's not enjoying it...she slept more than normal today and I'm freaking out its a sign of her getting sick... How do I not get her sick!?!?!?

if shes going to get sick shes going to get sick.. not much you can do. Just keep washing your hands and try not to breath directly on her. This way limiting as much germs as possible. Your little girl will be okay, they have stronger immune systems than we give them credit for.

WASH YOUR HANDS! majorrrrr one....i kept cleaning with lysol wipes everywhere i went....kitchen bathroom etc.....and babywipes on her hands if i touched them........and i didnt breathe directly on her face or kiss her face/hands....dont know how much this stuff really works BUT i had the dreaded stomach bug and so did dh and thank god she didnt get it

how can I not breathe on her when Im feeding her etc...and her pacifier literally keeps falling out that if I washed my hands every time, my hands would be peeling from being so dry...UGH...
thanks ladies...I can't imagine her getting a cold so young....

IN OTHERWORDS DONT GET ALL IN HER FACE.....LOL...use purell if u dont want to wash ur hands everytime put the purell next to you so its accessable.....its able to be done....by the way my hands were raw from being psychotic bc i was determined for her not to get the bug bc it was soooooo awful.....but like babysammie said if shes gonna get the cold shes gonna get the cold

I had the flu 2 weeks ago and was also scared of passing it to DD. Whenever
i needed to touch her or something of hers I washed my hands before. (even if she was crying, i still washed my hands before going to her) i didnt hold her to feed her, i put her in the car seat and just held the bottle, looking away from her. i also really didnt have much contact with her, only to pick her up, change her etc. but mostly i kept her in the swing, or exercauser until DH came home

jen, get the surgical mask!! im telling you, it works so youre not breathing all over her!!

DD had her first cold at 6 weeks (she caught it from my Dad), but she didn't get a fever. There is not much you can do besides wash your hands as often as possible. Hope your DC doesn't catch it.

Rubber gloves! Have your DH pick up some rubber gloves, powder free at the drug store. That way you don't have to keep washing your hands if you need to change her, touch her binkie etc. Also I would use a clean paper towel to pick up the pacifier etc, so as not to touch it. Also of course don't breathe on her, don't touch her hands, even wear a surgical mask if it makes you feel better.

I think they are stronger than we imagine they are. But I am just as paranoid as you are with things like that.
