UGH just a bad day...
So I'm home with an awful cold, and DD is congested too, so I take her in to go to the bathroom to sit in the steam and she bangs her head against the door!!!!! UGH!!! she cried for half a second and is now in good spirits babbling and playing but it looks like its going to turn black and blue should I take her to the ped, she's only 4.5 months

Hey Jen - sorry I just got to my desk and saw your post. Athan banged the HELL out of his temple on Sunday and it left a hige purple splotch all day - I thought for sure it woul dturn into an awful brusie but it was literally gone the next morning. I did put an ice pack on it right away though. I don't think you nee dt call the ped unless you want to for piece of mind. If she is alert and well and happy, it may just be one o fthe many bumps of childhood!!!!

Also look at her pupils-do they look weird? Dilated or small? If she is happy and not sleepy I think shes fine but it can't hurt to call. My ped has the nurses advice line which is great-I call every few days it feels like!

You could always call for peace of mind, but if she's in good spirits, I don't think I'd worry.

Give it a couple of hours. If she's happy, not sleepy and generally in good spirits, no I wouldn't call the ped

if it were DS, I'd call the peds office and ask for advice. I'm certain they have a couple things they'd want you to look out for, but otherwise wouldn't think it's necessary to bring DC in.......

thanks ladies, it actually completely went away now, no black and blue or anything, DH is home with me today to help me out and he is normally the overly anal one and even said that its nothing!
