ugh, my mom just called...
from her cousin's house and they are having a little birthday party for her with a bunch of her friends and she wants me to come. I really don't want to . Her birthday was Monday and my sister and I already took her to the city, the whole fam went out to dinner on her bday and now this! DH is out golfing and I really don't want to go without him. She really wants me to go. It's kind of a hike to get there too (selden from west babylon). What should I do? I todl her I'd call her back in a little bit since I just walked in the door. I need a good excuse!

alrighty, all is well  She was fine with me not going .
I am a little annoyed though because this cousin of my mom's had asked me a few weeks ago if I wanted to use his house to throw her a party. First of all, that annoyed me for a few different reasons
1. Why do I need to use YOUR house, when I have my own?!
(ok his is nicer, bigger, and he has a pool, but I felt like it was kinda a slap in the face)
2. She told me she didn't want a party and so my sister and I planned a day in the city for her
3. It was a little late in the game to be asking me if I wanted to plan a big party ( less than 2 weeks before her bday)
So I told him , no thank you, we already made plans for her bday. SOOOOO I get this call from my mom today asking me to come which is nice that she wants me there, but my point is ...MY SISTER AND I WEREN'T EVEN INVITED?! That just made me mad, because he went ahead and threw her a party and then didn't even invite us. I am really tired of him flaunting his big house and money in our faces (there's more to that, but I will spare you the details). GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR...vent over!
PS...I was already feeling moody and grumpy and this is just the icing on the cake!
