Ughhh..i hate getting dressed!!!
Ok I obviously know that I am going to gain weight as I get further along. But I am not fitting into my clothes and its making mornings very difficult. I'm not ready yet to fit into maternity clothes, yet my shirts are too tight around my chest and stomach!!!
I'm so depressed right now and hate the way I look!!!

Re: Ughhh..i hate getting dressed!!!
I'm 10 weeks this week and its so weird. They need to make a pre-huge-belly maternity line. There are such great clothes out there but they just aren't for me "yet". And now I feel so self conscious.
So, if there are any clothes designers out there....make a line for us in between girls!!!!

Re: Ughhh..i hate getting dressed!!!
How about just getting a few items of clothing that are a larger size that can be worn in between until you feel you are ready for maternity. Also they can be worn after the baby arrives when there is still an in between stage. Hope that helps

I'm almost 11 weeks and I'm in the same boat as you. I just ordered 2 sweater from the Gap that were on sale for 19.99. I also bought the belly bands which are great. Now I don't have to button my pants!

Re: Ughhh..i hate getting dressed!!!
I have the same problem - 12 weeks this week. I feel fat...not pregnant. I bought a few pairs of pants - on sale, in a bigger size, and just keep wearing them. But now my shirts aren't fitting right, so I might do the same thing. I live in GA, and it just hasn't been very cold, wish it was, b/c I could hide under my big sweaters! My job doesn't know yet, and they must be like, wow, she is getting fat, and is wearing the same thing every week LOL .... I'm hoping to tell them next week! But the mornings are very depressing.

Re: Ughhh..i hate getting dressed!!!
I know how you feel. The begining is the worst part. I was there and it was horrible, but it does get better. Believe me I still have my days like when waiting in the Dr.'s office and my boyfriend is looking through the magazines with the PERFECT pregnant models and I am like wow he must think i am huge. it gets hard but it is sooooooo worth it.

Re: Ughhh..i hate getting dressed!!!
It's a stretchy tube that fits over your pants. It allows you to wear you regular pants leaving them unbuttoned. It's great since I'm not ready for maternity clothes, but I can't button my pants without it hurting.
Here's the link. I think a lot of girls have used them on this site.

Re: Ughhh..i hate getting dressed!!!
I felt really crappy at that point, as well. I just went a bought myself a few pairs of pants the next size up and that helped hold me over until I was ready for maternity pants. My shirts lasted me a lot longer. Just wait until you are showing and finally feeling pregnant, you will feel better!

Re: Ughhh..i hate getting dressed!!!
I know it can be hard for some people, but stepping out of too-tight regular clothes and into just-right maternity clothes makes SUCH a difference in how you will feel about yourself and comfort level.
Plus you dont have to buy full or half panel pants...they sell maternity clothes with elastic wasit bands...that no one will even be able to tell they are maternity! they're great and SO comfortable and that's what I wore to get me through my 1st and 2nd trimester (til I got too big and went to panels ).
Old Navy had a lot of them when I was looking last. Try online and take a look. Good luck!!
Here are a couple from Old Navy.com

Re: Ughhh..i hate getting dressed!!!
I bought BOTH pairs of those pants that MrsJ posted when I was 9 weeks!!!! I have the top pair in camel and black and those khackis!!!!!
I went throught the SAME thing. I was so frustrated. Then I went to Old Navy and saw that they made pants for 1st and 2nd tri-mester that weren't the panel pants. I put them and and I swear to you I was jumping for joy!! They were sooooo comfy!!! Now that I'm clost to my 3rd trimester I can still wear them! I HIGHLY recommend you check them out... even if you don't feel like you're ready for materinity clothes!
Also the Bella Band is a lifesaver!! I bought one at Mimi Maternity. It was like $18 and WELL worth it. I was able to wear my reg. clothes for some time!

Re: Ughhh..i hate getting dressed!!!
Like many of you, I am not yet "out of the closet" with anyone other than our parents and siblings. This is the biggest dilemma! Do those belly bands look "maternity"? I really like those Old Navy pants (I think a shopping trip is in my near future!) but they are way too casual for work This is so frustrating! My coworkers probably think I must have eaten too much over the holidays since I only can fit into a few things right now. I swear I have gained like 10 pounds already

Not at ALL. I wore mine with all types of pants and no one could tell. The band is about 7 to 8 inches wide and the one I bought was white. You put the band over your unbuttoned pants and kind of "bunch" it to keep the button looking smoothed. I would then wear a shirt to cover it, just having the very bottom of the band show. It just looks like I was wearing a white tank underneath. Here is their web site: BELLA BAND

Re: Ughhh..i hate getting dressed!!!
I'm gonna go shopping tomorrow to see what kind of comfy clothes i can find. I purchased my first pair of maternity jeans from GAP and they were pretty comfy just not ready for them full time!

Re: Ughhh..i hate getting dressed!!!
Motherhood in Macys at the Walt Whitman mall has some cute stuff too and their prices are good. H&M has maternity, but I havent been there in a while. Sears does too but their selection is limited and IMO not that great prices.
