UGH...I need to vent!!
So last night we went out with FH's best friend and his wife; we've all been friends since our teens. His wife is a vegetarian and spares NO opportunity to reprimand us on our meat-eating habits and to lecture us... ...not on MY v-day, thankyouverymuch! And FH LOVES to get under skin and argue with her and they go back and forth.
Now...it took EVERY FRIGGIN' LAST BIT OF WILLPOWER I had not to point out that while she's extolling the virtues of vegetarianism and throwing out life lessons, that the only purses she uses are ALL-LEATHER COACH BAGS AND SHOES 
For the life of me, I do not comprehend how its NOT OK to meat but IS OK to wear it? Especially this girl, like I said, thinks she knows everything and was basically preaching to us about how we are disgusting for eating meat, etc.
Don't shove YOUR principles in MY face, you Vegetarian Hypocrite!!!!!!!!

That completely doesn't sound like fun. I would not have been as generous as you and would have pointed out her bag. Especially since she was going on and on.

OMG you have no idea!!!! It would have absolutely started WW3!!! I tried kicking FH under the table because he knows I've said it to him before and I was thinking it, then he tried blowing up my spot being like, "Why are you kicking me? Are you trying to get me to stop talking" and I felt like an idiot

ugh i would soo mention the purse.. at least your getting nutritional value out of the meat, so the animals life wasnt taken in vain.. cant say that about the purse.

If she is a vegetarian because she believes its healthier choice than it does not matter to her what her bags and shoes are made of. If she is advocating for animal rights, then you are right!
Don't judge all vegetarians on this one! I try so hard to never preach! I hate when people ask me about vegetarianism and they want to debate it. its the last thing i want to talk about!

yep!! i have coworkers that are so anti meat and animal cruelty but they walk around in leather boots/shoes and love marc jacobs and designer leather bags.
sorry..but i think thats being a hypocrite.

See, at that point I would have said, yes you two are giving me a headache and it's valentines day so SHUT UP!!!
I don't have tolerance for that crap and my husband knows it.
