Ugh...I think I'm getting a UTI, can I take
those over the counter "natural" UTI Relief pills?
I see the doctor on Tuesday but I'm hoping I can get a little relief before then.

I would call asap. If not call your general dr, tell them you are pg and see if they will give you something/check you out. I would not take that to be honest.

Thank you... I suppose you are right, shouldn't even chance it.
Hmm...it's Sunday though, both my Doctors are closed - does this constitute an "emergency" to leave a message?

Absolutely! UTIs need to be addressed asap.
Are you sure it's a UTI? What are your symptoms? Have you ever had one before (I have and I know how bad they can be!).

Are you sure it's a UTI? What are your symptoms? Have you ever had one before (I have and I know how bad they can be!).
I'm pretty sure - constant urge to go and when I do very little comes out; it's not very painful yet, just uncomfortable but I feel it getting there. General discomfort in that area (bladder)...
I've had a few - the past year or so it seems I've become more prone to them.
So do you think the doctor would call in antibiotics for me without seeing me? That would be great!

I honestly doubt that, esp if you are pg.
Could it be that your uterus is pressing on your urethra and causing the feeling of a UTI? I know this happens to a lot of people, esp early on.
A dr is going to want to do a check to see if your urine has bacteria in it, esp before prescribing something (esp since you are pg even more so).

Oh well, then he can't do anything for me anyway . Might as well wait until I see him Tuesday.

Didn't know about that - could be! Oh, I hope that's all it is!

Didn't know about that - could be! Oh, I hope that's all it is!
It could be that too, however, I have a UTI right now that I found out from the hospital last week. I don't have any other symptoms than the urge to go and can't go all the time, which is also a symptom of pregnancy. I would either call your doctors emergency line or go to a walk in clinic and get a culture. I am on amoxicillan now and feel better!

Eat a can of cranberries until you can get to the doctor on Tues.
I have had UTI's during pregnancy and had no idea. My doctor said they can cause pre-term labor.

I have been feeling like I have a UTI for weeks now, and i have been taking antibiotics, but I really don't think I have one. The first time, it got cultured, no UTI after taking antibiotics for a week, then this time, still waiting for the results, but I have a feeling there is no UTI. Get the test trips by AZO to see if you do have one. You can't take any relief pills at all, just drink alot of water and take cranberry pills, vitamin C, and acidophilus until you talk to your doctor. Feel better-- I know your pain!

i would call the Dr. My Dr had to prescribe a very light antibiotic, nothing strong. In the meantime drink up on the cranberry juice
