Ugh...I'm done
Girls, I need a boost...I've just been miserable the past few days. Since Saturday I've had painful Braxton Hicks contractions and constant dull ache in my abdomen. I went to the doctor yesterday who said that everything was fine, to continue drinking lots of fluids and take tylenol for the pain. The tylenol helps but I don't want to keep popping them every 8 hours from now until the baby comes. My morale is low and I'm tired! I'm ready for this to be over! I've been nauseous for weeks, over tired and cranky. I know we are all going through this but I just need a little push to get me through the next few weeks! I called out from work today, and I feel like I'm never there! My job is so difficult b/c its so physical, and I just feel like I can't do it anymore I wish I could just stay in bed from now til the baby comes, but of course that's not an option. Am I the only one????
ETS: Sorry so long, and I really don't mean to sound so depressed I know this is a blessing, and I can't wait to meet our baby. I just need to know that I'm not crazy for feeling this way!

Re: Ugh...I'm done
U so aren't alone.
Honestly the only thing that helps me through the BH is to stay mobile.... I move around allllllllllllllllllll the time, and I walk a lot!
Take your Tylenol, but try to get out for a walk which I know is easier said than done being in NY....
Maybe if you have a treadmill or know someone who has a treadmill that you can use? I seriously feel that walking helps me a LOT!
Also see if there's any way that the physical portion of your job can be passed on to someone else. I had to work a full shift at the pizzeria yesterday and I have to work another today (12 hrs) and Brian had one of our delivery drivers come in to work the counter with me during the busier time so that it would be easier on me.

Re: Ugh...I'm done
I am not sure what you're job is but please be careful and have coworkers do whatever they can..you said its "really physical" but at the end you need to take it as easy as you can!!
One suggestion...at the end of the day, sit in a warm/borderline hot bath and let your body relax. I used to take baths at the end when I was having braxton hicks and my hips started killing me as well. It really helped.
I also sipped a glass of wine here and there per doctors orders..it's amazing how it can help relax muscles!! Of course you sip it slowly over the course of dinner...although I was tempted to drink a lot more, lol. Feel better!!! Your baby will be here before you know it and you'll forget how bad it was at the end...

Re: Ugh...I'm done
You're almost there! Just a few more weeks and then the pain will be distant memory. Laying on a ton of pillows helps me alleviate the pressure on my hips. Hopefully that will help you some. It sounds like your body just wants you to relax and rest up for labor.

I read this too quickly and thought you wrote that you're delivering pizzas instead. The image in my mind of a 9 month pregnant woman delivering my pizza is hysterical. Thank you for making me spit out my coffee this morning!

Re: Ugh...I'm done
Aaww
I think the combo of trying to take walks, taking a warm bath at the end of the day and enjoying a glass of wine once in a while are all great ways to help you feel a little better.
Hopefully you can take it easier at work too!

Re: Ugh...I'm done
I am right with you. I have been working from home for over a week now. I am so uncomfortable and because DS is so low, I am in constant pain and have constant pressure. I can't wait to meet this little one.

Re: Ugh...I'm done
Hang in there. You have 7 weeks or less hopefully. I wake each night several times with cramps in my belly. I try to drink water but its a catch 22 at night. I drink I get contractions until I use the bathroom. I dont drink I get them from dehydration. Sometimes I think its labor. All and all I am ok just not sleeping well. I give you alot of credit for working so hard. Be careful.

Re: Ugh...I'm done
You are sooo close, hang in there. I know it's hard, especially these last few weeks. I am so done too, but know my baby is not ready to make her grand entrance just yet ( I wish )
