ugh...nothing sounds good.

I can't stand the thought of food, but if I don't eat it makes the nausea worse. Got any suggestions?

Re: ugh...nothing sounds good.

i can usually get down grilled cheese, pasta with sauce or toast with butter and jelly if i feel that badly.

worst case scenario, junk food always works for me. at least it's something in my stomach, ya know?

feel better!!Chat Icon

fruit! anything that tastes crisp / clean. I couldn't eat any veggies or meat....

Even at my worst, I could eat sweet oranges, melon, pineapple.... I also could eat bland dairy like cottage cheese.

and to settle your stomach, saltines and animal crackers

For me, yogurt made me feel better....but sometimes was a little hard to get down because of the texture. I also found a new love for fruit snacks and peanut butter and jelly on potato bread.

honestly - its going to be whatever you can stomach. Just rattle off a list of foods in your head and go with the one that doesnt make you gag

sour patch kids. I don't know why but they help settle my stomach enough to eat some real food.

tell him when he is PG then he can decide what he puts in his stomach. Chat Icon

having candy in the first tri - especially if that is the only thing that helps - is not going to make you gain a ton of weight or cause GD. you will feel much better in a few weeks and then you can eat all the veggies DH wants. Chat Icon Chat Icon

The only thing I have been able to eat is a bagel or some cereal. The thought of food makes me nauseous.

I feel you on that one. I cant eat meat b/c it just makes me sick. sometimes i dont know what to eat. When i feel liek that i eat comfort foods like bagels with cream cheese or light butter or sometimes cereal. However, this feeling is starting to subside now.

Re: ugh...nothing sounds good.

I could not stomach or even handle meat for my 1st and 2nd trimester! Bagels worked wonders and fruit was another life saver....it was refreshing and always made me feel less nauseous!
