Ugh...Planters wart!
I found something on Sidney's toe and the Dr. said it was a Planters Wart. I never had one so I don't know much about them. From what I've just read it seems they take a long time to go away. Dr said to try duct tape for a week and see if there is any progress. Sidney is NOT happy about the tape though.
Anyone elses toddler have this. I feel like she is so young (18 months) and now i have to try and treat this thing!
I'm thinking of taking her to a podiatrist.
Any suggestions or words of wisdom

Re: Ugh...Planters wart!
I've had them before. I've never heard of the duct tape thing. I had to have mine burned off with acid. They are a virus so they can and often will reoccur. Sorry.

Re: Ugh...Planters wart!
My son (he is 8 today!) had one of these on his toe right before xmas vacation. The school nurse called me and said he was complaining that his toe hurt so she looked at it and said it's a Plantars Wart. I thought it was just a blister, I had no idea what a Plantars Wart was. So I bought some of the brush on wart remover at Target. I soaked his foot for five minutes a day, then brushed on the stuff and put a bandaid over it. It only took about 2 weeks before the wart came out! It was a deep one and when I took the bandaid off, the wart came with it. There was a bit of a hole there for a few days but his skin is growing back nicely. I was surprised it didn't take very long because I too read that it can take months. I was leary of the duct tape because DS cries when I rip a band-aid off, so I could only imagine how duct tape would feel.
I'm not sure if your daughter is too young for the brush on stuff , it's salicylic acid, but if she isn't, it's defninately worth getting. I bought the Compound W brand.
On a side note, I read that these things are spread from person to person. I'm thinking he got it from the pool and walking around barefoot all summer OR at the gymnastics thing he went to for scouts and the kids weren't wearing socks. Creeps me out!
Good luck!
