umbrella double stroller with high weight limit
Hi,
I am looking for a side by side double stroller to use on just long outings when my DDs might want to rest. They are 3.5 and 1.5 years old, but my older one is a big girl and weighs just over 40 lbs. I have been using the city select, but my little one is getting cramped sitting in the upper seat and keeps kicking my older one. We don't use a stroller often anymore so I want to get something fairly inexpensive that I can use for longer outings if they want to hop in and rest. A lot of them that I have seen have a 40lb per seat weight limit. Anyone have one that can take heavier kids?
Thanks!

Joovy x2. 45 lbs each seat, 90 lbs total. It could probably push more. I have one & really like it. My DS has broad shoulders & he looked squished in other strollers I looked at.
It has it's negatives, but I was happy with it & it was my only double stroller (kids are now 4 & 2.5 & both fit well).
Also is inexpensive.
Here's the amazon link: http://www.amazon.com/Joovy-Scooter-Double-Stroller-Greenie/dp/B004KCNP1A

I tried it out at a buybuybaby & ended up buying it (floor model) WITH coupon. Was very inexpensive.

With the City Select I always have my older one sit up top. She is likes to have the broader range view (3.5 too) and keeps her feet on the footrest at 90 degrees. My little one (2) sits on the bottom and it really works great. There are other combos that might work too...maybe facing eachother?
I don't have another stroller suggestion...I just love the select and use it soley as my car stroller.

Hmm, I always had my older one on the bottom, but maybe I could convincer her to sit in the top seat. I am going to give it a shot. I have occasionally had them facing each other, but they both seem to prefer looking forward especially when we are at disney or something like that. Thanks!! I would definitely prefer to get more milage out of this stroller!
