I have heard that some people believe that Americans doctors generally clamp the cord too soon but what I read was that they should wait a few extra minutes, not days.

We waited until the cord stopped pulsating to clamp the cord but I couldn't imagine walking around for days with the placenta still attached. I would be very nervous about accidentally tearing it off or an infection.

wow, i never even heard of this. im not sure i think its as as some, but its something i couldnt commit to doing... that being said.. the woman that CAN commit to it, amazing..IMO.

When I first started reading I thought that's what they meant- waiting to clamp the cord until it stops pulsating. Then I read 3-10 days Not something I'd like to try.
