Umm.. okay
Yesterday my RE's financial department called my house and my husband answered since he took the day off. She wanted to submit paperwork to my insurance to get the authorizations for my next cycle, but there was an outstanding balance on our account from last cycle. My husband explained to her we hadn't received a bill yet and could he help her with something. She said no, but to have me call in the morning.
So I just call her and she tells me that my husband threw her off yesterday because she thought I was alone and doing IVF on my own. I wanted to tell her she's an idiot, especially since we both sat in her office with her a few weeks ago. I mean, I know she sees lots of patients, but why would you say that to someone? Idiot...

Please tell me you are kidding. You may want to speak to an office manager the next time you go in or call. Organization in this line of medicine is VERY important.
BTW, when DID you finally decide to tell your DH that you wanted to get PG. He seemed like a pretty aware guy to me!

I wish I was kidding! I'm pretty sure my file has my marital status and my husbands information as well.

That is unbelievable!!
I know at my RE both of our names are on the file.
I agree with Leslie you should find who her supervisor is and make a complaint. Even if that is what she thought, she shouldn't have said it to you!

She sounds like a real gem. Sorry she said that to you! I had someone tell me on a diff. message board the other day that the reason i was doing artificial insemination is b/c I didn't have anyone (no DH)  I put her in her place!
