I would try a shoe repair place. They may be able to stretch them.

But I have to ask. Why did you put them in the washing machine? I never heard of that before.

this - leather in the washing machine?

Dh had thrown some sneakers into wash and put them in there, too. He thought they were a little dirty from last winter. I had asked him to gather up some of the kids sneakers to wash for school.

I didn't check what he had thrown in there, and he told me he didn't turn it on yet....so I did. Then he put the batch into the dryer. Now I will always have to double check what he tossed in there. We have been trying to switch up chores.

Not the end of the world, but now I know that Dh is not to be trusted.Chat Icon

I'm glad I can have them stretched out. I'm just bummed because they were so nice. They still look great - the material was not ruined at all (which makes me think maybe they weren't leather?) but they are just shrunk a little.

Yes. I would go the new boots route!

I don't get it with men. They can do all of this other complicated stuff, but when it comes to basics, like the wash, they have no freakin' clue.

Unfortunately, I don't think they can be repaired.

Maybe that's kind I have?
I mean they are boots and exposed to rain and such... Hmmm. And they don't look ruined. Just shrunk. I should find out from manufacturer now. I'm curious
