Unexplained bruise on baby?

I was just changing Sasha and noticed a black and blue on her back-- by her shoulder blade. I don't think anything happened that could have caused her to get bruised-- although my mom is here with me now so that is someone different handling her-- although I don't think she could have handled her in a way that bruised her.

I called the Ped and they said just watch to see if the bruising multiplies-- then I should bring her in, but that baby's skin is very sensitive, blah blah blah.

Did anyone ever experience something like this? Of course I am freaking out that something is wrong with her-- I am probably going to keep her naked all day so I can continously examine her. Chat Icon

Oh Randi Hopefully it's nothing... I bruise very easily... literally if you grab my arm I will have bruise marks there... they have tested me for EVERYTHING... I'm just a delicate little flower...Chat Icon

Who knows how she got bruised... someone could have picked her up the wrong way with just a little more pressure and she got a bruise..... Hopefully that is all it is!

DS had a small bruise on his face last week. I have no idea how he got it, but he has such sensitive skin, I really didn't think twice about it. It went away in a couple of days.

My son- now 2 has always been a bruiser.

Ever since he was a baby , he would bruise easy. I think its just their skin and also that their blood vessels dont fully form to that of an adult for a while and thats why they bruise so easily.
