Uniondale School District
Does anyone teach there?? Anyone have any info? I got a call today for an interview and I am conflicted about whether or not to go... I know it doesn't have a great reputation..

A friend of mine is a 4th grade teacher in the district and she loves it. I believe she's been there about 10 years.

a job is a job. especially in a LI district.
i would never turn down a job because the district doesn't have a "great" reputation.
you need to get in somewhere and there will be 1000 people willing to take the spot.

I have a friend who left our very good Brooklyn HS for a Uniondale school 6 years ago. She still works there.

I agree! Wait until you're offered a job to decide whether or not to take it, but I would never turn down an interview for the experience alone.

My friend had worked in Queens for 7 years and decided to interview on the island, she was hired on the spot in Hempstead..she loves it!!!!
I would go and good luck!!
