I saw this article last night. It brought tears to my eyes.
It was wonderful that they did that so that he could see his mom.

That was nice, almost makes up for them trying to bone me for a flight for my brother when my grandmother passed. They wanted $800 for a 3 day return flight to NC.

This is truly heartwarming. Delta did the opposite: last year, our plane to Disney was delayed almost 10 hours. Delta did nothing to accomodate everyone and we just sat there. Some poor man was on his way to see his mother and, while we were all stuck in the terminal about 6 hours in, he received a call that his mother had passed. It was very sad.

As someone who just got home from visiting her grandmother in hospice, I am so touched by this story. Its nice to see there are still caring good people in this world.
