United Health Care and Paying For Formula
Hello!! Just a quick question. Is anyone's DC on Enfamil A.R. and have United Health Care Insurance?
I was told from a few friends that my son's formula would be paid for by United Health Care and I was wondering if that is true??
Thanks for your help!!

Re: United Health Care and Paying For Formula
I have United and my son was on Alimentum. We fell through some sort of loophole and his formula was NOT covered. My doctor even wrote several letters verifying that he needed the formula to sustain life, and nope. We were told my DH made too much $$ to be awarded the coverage.

It's if something is wrong and your child needs it to survive. For example, my son has a severe milk protein allergy, so he can only tolerate Neocate, which is rediculously expensive. Our insurance company pays for it and we only have to pay a co-pay when we get it from the pharmacy.
OP - you should do a search for Apria, they may be able to help you.

Re: United Health Care and Paying For Formula
I have UHC and it depends on the plan your company provides. DH company gave us a crapy plan so it was not covered. DS is on NUtramigen that is expensive and they will not cover it, the dr.'s office called and sent a letter stating that this is the only formula he could use to live. They want nothing of it. Not to mention we also have a max on welll baby. Make sure you check your plan.

Re: United Health Care and Paying For Formula
I have united health care and they said they didn't cover Nutramigen. My pediatrician called and got it covered for me. I just got my first 30 cans in today. It is so wierd they told me it wasn't covered and then ended up covering it in the end anyway.
